Behind Every Gangsta There Is A...

This week, an interesting observation was made by a fan of this blog, Mr. Mike Hill.  He commented, "Behind every gangsta there is a gangsta bitch hoe." This statement cannot be argued, therefore it is an absolute fact. Now, Gangstaplaid does not enjoy disparaging females and all that, but once one puts a rag on one's head and carries firearms and swears profusely, any gangsta male or female tends to lose all credibility.

Anyway, for the observation made this week, Gangstaplaid presents a Youtube video from the acclaimed Album 'Ghetto D' by Master P featuring the lovely Mia X. The song is called 'Plan B', however this plan b has nothing to do with birth control or emergency contraception. No, this would be considered degrading if one were not a gangsta.

This song wasn't the most popular track off the 'Ghetto D' album, but with lyrics like, "...Causing Major Pain on this dope game, You be Hallie Berry, I be the ghetto Damon Wayans...", Gangstaplaid fans are left to wonder how could America have been so wrong?

Again, thank you Mr. Hill for your observation.

Is Compton the Next City to File for Bankruptcy?

(Just in case one cannot read the Old English font in the title of the post,) Is Compton the Next City to File for Bankruptcy? This was the headline from the Los Angeles Times. It is the opinion of Gangstaplaid that there should be a tax on real muthaph###in' Gz before the City of Compton would be allowed to go forward.

Since It's 4th of July

I am going to be more playa playa today and display a song from the sensational group, The Luniz, from their debut album Operation Stackola, "I Got Five On It". This CD has great album literature by the way, in which there is a dictionary of Oakland-based hip-hop slang. Again, Enjoy!
